2-STROKE POWER

The new 327cc 2-stroke engine ushers in a new era of performance, producing outstanding low-speed traction and strong torque across the RPM range. The precise combined action of ignition timing, fuel injection and exhaust valves evens out the peaky nature of an old-school 2-stroke creating an incredible spread of useable power, and a whole new riding experience. A single-shaft primary engine balancer reduces engine vibrations for smooth power delivery and improved throttle control.

Crankcase reed-valve intake is managed by an advanced fuel-injection system. A 39mm throttle body is fed by dual injectors—one upstream, one downstream. At low RPM, only the downstream injector operates, enabling precise fueling for low-speed control and ground-gripping traction even when the throttle is barely open. The upstream injector joins in at a higher RPM, enabling powerful acceleration and high-revving excitement reminiscent of a classic 2-stroke.

The innovative exhaust valve system of the KX™327X is tuned to deliver strong torque from ultra-low RPM and linear power across the entire range. The cutting-edge exhaust valve system, designed exclusively by Kawasaki for the 327cc 2-stroke, dynamically adjusts exhaust port timing according to engine speed and throttle position to produce crisp, responsive torque at every speed.

A smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission features an ultra-low first gear. Combined with the engine's strong low-rpm performance, this makes it easier to loft the front wheel over obstacles at low speed and maintain momentum through rough terrain.

A hydraulic clutch offers direct action and consistent performance even as the clutch heats up. The use of a coned-disc spring enables a light pull at the lever and a wider clutch engagement range.

Being able to restart your engine quickly while traversing technical terrain can help you spare a lot of energy. A compact and lightweight Li-ion battery powers reliable push-button starting.

The use of pre-mix lubrication eliminates the need for a separate oil injection system. Retaining the tried-and-true method of classic 2-stroke lubrication keeps things simple and lightweight.

CHASSIS & ERGONOMICS

A lightweight aluminum perimeter frame based on the KX™450F is fine-tuned for unique performance of the KX™327X. Lower frame rails are strengthened for improved front-end feedback and to endure the rigors of cross-country riding. Lightweight agility and straight-line composure give you confident control whether you’re at speed or tackling technical trails.

High-performance Nissin brake calipers and hydraulics deliver premium stopping power on the KX™327X. A 270mm front petal disc and 240mm rear petal disc ensure the confidence of control.

Fine-tune your fit aboard the KX™327X with ERGO-FIT® adjustable components. Footpegs feature two adjustable positions to accommodate a range of riders. Two mounting points in the triple clamp and reversible bar mounts add up to four different possible handlebar positions, ideal for dialing in comfort and control for preference or riding conditions.

The athletic look of the KX™327X reflects a sleek, modern race machine that is unmistakably Kawasaki. Slim bodywork and a streamlined finish enable seamless rider movement. A slip-resistant contoured seat helps riders remain in control while the Renthal Fatbar handlebar, ODI lock-on grips, wide, lightweight footpegs add to the quality finish.

A quick-release side cover provides easy access to the airbox with no tools. With a large opening and the air filter positioned for ready access, pitstop maintenance is quick and easy so your KX™327X can keep breathing and you can keep racing.

MODERN TECHNOLOGY

The broad power of the KX™327X motorcycle can be tailored for riding conditions or rider preference with the push of a button. Power Mode Selection is controlled by the M button at the left handlebar, enabling the rider to switch between Normal (full power) and Mild settings.

The KX™327X can connect to your smartphone wirelessly through a communication unit mounted behind the front number plate. Combined with information from a GPS unit mounted on the front fender, data can combine with off-road track maps for an entirely new suite of in-app functions.

Using the smartphone application RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX™2, riders can now record trip logs with GPS, and create off-road track maps (based on Google Map satellite images). The app can track lap times and riders can review speed, gear position, and engine RPM. Engine telemetry can be monitored in real time, including engine intake temperature and coolant temperature. Engine hour meter and maintenance reminders are included.

CROSS-COUNTRY SUSPENSION

A high-performance 48mm KYB coil-spring fork handles front suspension duties. The KYB Air-Oil-Separate (AOS) system and low-friction Kashima coating ensure a stable damping force with smooth, consistent performance. Internal valving targets medium-speed technical terrain as well as flowing high-speed sections.

Rear suspension features the New Uni-Trak® rear suspension system designed to optimize long-travel performance of the fully adjustable KYB rear shock. Internal valving and adjusters are tuned for cross-country competition, prioritizing ride comfort for long hours on the racecourse, and terrain-following performance for ground-gripping traction when it matters most.

OFF-ROAD READY

The KX™327X is ready to meet the rigors of cross-country racing with rugged Excel rims and Dunlop Geomax AT82 tires. Machined hubs fortify the wheels (21-in front/18-in rear) and give a premium appearance.

A large capacity 8.5-L (2.25-gallon) fuel tank means you can go further between fuel-ups. The transparent resin makes it possible to easily see the fuel level so you can monitor your consumption on the trail and plan your pitstops.

The KX™327X is equipped with a host of cross-country features:

- Handguards match the athletic look.

- A sturdy skid plate with link guard provides ample protection and enables a smooth surface for navigating obstacles.

- A rear brake disc guard helps protect against rocks.

Equipped with a forged aluminum side stand, the KX™327X is able to stop far from the paddocks. Designed with cross-country racing in mind, the side stands retracts at a high angle so it's out of the way while riding.
