Description
2026 Honda CB500 Hornet Matte Black Metallic
Power you’ll actually use
DOHC twin-cylinder engine
The 471cc parallel-twin engine features a dual overhead cam design that’s versatile, approachable, and famously reliable. It has robust low-end torque and high-rpm horsepower.
Showa® SFF-BP fork
A top-notch 41mm inverted Showa® Separate Function Fork—Big Piston (SFF-BP) front end provides the rigidity needed for precise steering and feedback.
Slipper clutch
The slipper clutch improves power delivery, reduces clutch-lever pull effort by 45 percent, and helps prevent rear-wheel hop during hard deceleration.
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
Our Anti-Lock Braking System is standard, providing confident stopping power and added assurance in challenging conditions, such as wet roads or loose gravel.
Features May Include:
Compact exhaust
- The exhaust system features twin outlets. It's a small detail, but it looks great, and the sound will bring a smile to your face every time you twist the throttle.
Programmed fuel injection
- The PGM-FI system adjusts fuel levels based on parameters such as temperature, elevation, throttle position, and riding style to improve throttle response and increase power and torque across the entire rpm range.
Disc brakes
- Twin 296mm front discs, paired with four-piston radial-mount calipers, provide strong and predictable stopping power. The front brake lever is adjustable for a perfect fit.
Lightweight swingarm
- The swingarm, used in the entire Honda 500 lineup, is both lightweight and strong, contributing to the bike’s exceptional handling.
Cast wheels
- These lightweight, multi-spoke cast-aluminum wheels are both solid and stylish. They are designed to enhance handling by reducing rotating inertia and are sized to accommodate a wide variety of high-performance street tires.
Smooth transmission
- Our engineers profiled the shift dogs in the six-speed transmission to help you change gears with reduced effort every time. While you’ll likely never see these parts, their impact on your riding experience is unmistakable.
Dual-level seating
- A two-piece seat with a dual-level design accommodates riders and passengers of various sizes, making it perfect for both urban streets and winding roads.
Accessories
- You can equip your new CB500 Hornet with a range of 5 different Honda accessories. These include a centerstand, tank bag, wind visor, and 12-volt accessory socket.
LED headlight
- The dual-lens LED headlight gives the front end a modern, cutting-edge look while still projecting plenty of light on the road for visibility.
